Animal Testing Essay
This is an important topic because there is a lot of discussion about it. Some advocate that it is cruel and inhumane and that animals have rights as well.
Some claim that it has a favourable impact because we have discovered new ways to cure fatal diseases and improve our medicines.
Animal Testing Essay Introduction?
Every year, millions of animals in the United States suffer and die as a result of chemical, medicine, food, and industrial testing.
Animals are exploited in medical training exercises and in large numbers in university experiments financed by the government and taxpayers.
They also suffer and die as a result of biology experiments and dissections in the classroom, despite the fact that modern, non-animal methods have been consistently demonstrated to be more instructive and save schools money.
What is Animal Testing and How Does It Work?
Animal testing is the practice of conducting unethical and frequently cruel experiments on animals held captive in stressful laboratory environments.
It is typically with the misguided assumption that the results will be applied to humans.
Most tests end with the subjects—millions of them every year—being killed.
Animals are still used for medical and cosmetic testing today. Every year, approximately 26 million animals are used for testing.

When Animal Testing was started?
Animal testing has been continued to practice since the 1850s, though animal care has greatly improved over the years. People are still divided on whether it is ethical.
The use of computer programmes to evaluate if items may be used on humans, as well as people volunteering their own skin to be tested on, are some of the ways that animals are being used less for testing.
I believe this is an important topic because I am concerned about it, and many people still have strong feelings about it.
I've also always been curious about how and why people conduct animal experiments.
Do animals and humans have the same rights?
The people who support Animal Testing argue that "if a living being is a member of any particular species that don't have the tendency to develop free moral judgments, it does not have any moral rights just like a human being."
Others make an argument that "all non-human animal species lack the ability to make ethical judgements on their own."
As a result, non-human (animals) have no rights.
As per the US law department ”Animals may be isolated, poisoned, burned, shocked, drowned, starved, drugged, and even brain-damaged.
Animal testing is the process of testing newly developed products and drugs on animals before they are used on humans.
Many well-known brands, such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson continue to use animal testing.
Companies like these test their products on animals before distributing them to the public.
PETA Initiatives
Volunteers of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), has been formed to resist such behaviour.
They are opposed to animal testing and animal cruelty. They also report such actions if they witness them.
Though it is a bone of contention, it is best not to test on helpless animals.
It is unethical to subject animals to harmful drugs and chemicals simply because they cannot protest.
Water deprivation, starvation, force-feeding of unhealthy and non-edible items, pain stimulation, and other inhumane treatments are all part of the testing process.
Animals have little or no choice but to suffer and die slowly. It's nothing less than such a form of torture.
Animals are used, and when they become too ill, they are 'put down' or killed.
There are laws or rights that apply to animals, and one of them should be the law that protects them from such cruelty. Animals, too, should have legal protection.
We must remember that we, like animals, are part of a living organism.
Using animals exclusively for our benefit is an unacceptably cruel practice.
This practice is strongly opposed by many animal rights activists. We should treat all life with the same respect that any human deserves.
Animal research, on the other hand, is extensive and costly.
A significant amount of money is spent on animal experiments, which are thought to be quite beneficial.
Some experiments produce no results, despite the fact that much of it is wasted due to data repetition.
It's ironic that millions of people still go to bed without dinner because of money being spent on torturing animals.
Animal testing is clearly inhumane and unethical. Even if some experiments prove to be successful.
Where is the guarantee that it will apply to humans?
Even if an experiment is a success, how many animals will have died as a result of starvation and torture? Is it worthwhile?
For example, vivisection is a method that involves burning, dissecting, and inflicting deep wounds on an organism.
It is inhumane to treat any living organism in this manner.
Animal testing has previously greatly helped in the discovery of new and effective drugs, treatments for humans, and so on.
Because medicine and innovation are constantly evolving, people are increasingly relying on animals for their effectiveness.
Animal testing is also used to monitor toxic levels in some environments and biodiversity. Torture is used extensively on mute animals.
Let us stand together and say no to Animal Testing forever.
There are numerous alternatives to animal testing.
Animal testing is no longer necessary because technology has advanced so far.
Technology has developed so much that a computer can evaluate whether or not a product is effective.
As a result, avoid animal cruelty as much as possible by using cruelty-free products and drugs.
Supporters of Animal Testing
Supporters of these experiments on animals advocate that animal testing is essential.
Many famous lifesaving drugs, for example, were invented in this manner, and animal experiments may help us find more cures in the future.
Indeed, a cure for cancer and AIDS is possible. Furthermore, the animals used are not usually wild but are cultured specifically for research purposes.
As a result, they do not believe that animal trials are to blame for the decline in the number of wild animals on the planet.
People Against Animal Testing
Others, on the other hand, believe there are valid counter-arguments.
First and foremost, animal experiments are cruel and cause severe suffering to animals.
Furthermore, they believe that many tests are unnecessary and that animals are used to test not only new medicines but also new cosmetics, which might be evaluated on humans instead.
Another issue is that animal experiments can yield incorrect results since animals' bodies are not identical to ours.
As a result, it's possible that this testing isn't giving the level of protection that its supporters claim.
Conclusion
Finally, I believe that, on balance, the advantages do not exceed the disadvantages, and animal research should be discontinued.
Although it may improve the lives of humans, it is unjust and unfair to subject animals to suffering in order to achieve this.
