This Optical Illusion Uses Only Two Objects, Stuns Internet

Internet users cannot seem to get enough of optical illusions.

Remember the gif image of the spinning cat? Why do six ladies only have five pairs of legs? Or a real cyan dress?

A photograph of a sculpture created from two sticks is the latest illusion to send the Internet into a craze.

This optical illusion consists of a sequence of triangles, squares, and lines.

All of these shapes are constructed with only two objects, which is even more remarkable.

Yves Lappert, an artist renowned for creating these creative illusions, creates the effect using only two sticks positioned against a wall.

In his artwork, Lappert employs lighting and shadow methods.

He utilises spotlights on his sticks to cast various shapes onto the wall behind him.

Then, he photographs the forms, allowing viewers to see multiple distinct figures rather than just two.

Lappert is able to create awe-inspiring, intricate photos utilising only two things, a technique he refers to as light work.

The majority of his sculptures are composed of commonplace materials, such as wooden sticks, foam, metal bars, bicycle components, and spotlights.

There was an illusion that went viral recently.

People were divided about whether the cat in the animated gif was spinning clockwise or counterclockwise, with some claiming it rotated clockwise and others counterclockwise.

The black cat is depicted on a white background.

The interesting aspect is that, if the TikTok user who uploaded the illusion is to be believed, you can control its rotation in either direction with your mind.
